Each year on the 29th of May, Nepal plays host to the world’s highest marathon as runners from around the world converge to participate and compete in the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon. Among the span of international entrants in this year’s race will be six of our own!
After a year’s hiatus, Kailash Home will once again send a team of young runners to participate in the 2020 race — this year #TeamKailash will consist of six runners (5 young men and 1 young woman). Read on to meet this year’s team and find out how you can support these young people as they train and prepare for this extraordinary challenge.
With mere months until this year’s contest, #TeamKailash is already well into the rigorous training required for success in the world’s highest marathon. We are so proud of these young people and are eager to support them in their training and cheer them on this May!
We’ll be checking back in between now and May 29th, and you’ll be able to follow along with all the pre-race training and get to know our team even better through our social media channels. In the meantime, if you’re ready to support #TeamKailash and help us raise the $5,000 we need to send our runners to the top of the world, click here!
